Itinerary

Day 1Arrival Nairobi

You’ll be met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and briefed by a Seven By Far Tours Kenya. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. Dinner on this day will be on your own account. Your overnight stay is in Eka Hotel Nairobi. You can have some optional activities if you arrive early. You’ll be booked on a bed and breakfast basis.

Day 2Nairobi

You’ll be picked up from the hotel at 10:00 am. Proceed to David Shedrick Wildlife Trust, a visit to this orphanage offers a heartwarming experience and a rare insight into conservation efforts at their very basic. Get a chance to watch the pony-sized elephants being fed formula from huge “baby bottles”. On your way to Giraffe Centre, stop for lunch at Utamaduni Restaurant.
After lunch, proceed to Giraffe Centre. It is home to about 14 resident Rothschild giraffes and a visit offers you the incredible opportunity to hand feed, observe and even kiss the friendly Rothschild giraffes.
After that, you’ll head to Karen Blixen.
Karen Blixen Museum is located on the outskirts of Nairobi and is the farmhouse where Karen Blixen lived from 1914 to 1931. Karen Blixen is popularly known for her book “Out of Africa” which was published in the late 1930s.

Day 3Nairobi The Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nairobi after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world-famous game reserve, the Masai Mara. You’ll be arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. At 4:00 pm, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 4Masai Mara National Reserve

Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 6:30 am and 4:00 pm respectively. Considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 650sq miles of the Masai Mara join Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem. The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog and zebra. From June to September, the annual wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas. All meals and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 5Masai Mara National Reserve - Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll be picked up by our driver guide and transferred to the Kenya-Tanzania border. After immigration procedures and change of vehicles, you’ll be picked up by our driver guide on the Tanzanian side and transferred to the camp. You’ll arrive after lunch. Relax, freshen up and have a short siesta. Then enjoy the 4:00 pm game drive, that takes you to Serengeti, the most famous of Tanzania national parks. It is known for its large amount of grazing mammals, including 1.5 million wildebeests. Serengeti is derived from the Maasai word Serenget meaning, wide open space. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

Day 6Serengeti National Park

You’ll have a full day in the game reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The great plains of Serengeti are where endless streams of wildebeest and zebra pour south towards Ngorongoro or north towards the Masai Mara. Our game drives will cover the varied habitats and eco- system of Serengeti. An optional balloon safari is highly recommended to get an eagle-eye view of the magnificent wilderness and wildlife of Serengeti. The safari ends with champagne under a lone acacia tree surrounded by vast savannah grasslands. Your overnight stay will be at the camp.

Day 7Ngorongoro

Have an early morning game drive at 6:30 am, then have breakfast. Afterwards, depart to Ngorongoro National Park via OlDuvai Gorge, arriving at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge / similar in time for lunch. Ngorongoro Conservation Area is referred to by many as the eighth Wonder of the World. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the lodge.

Day 8Ngorongoro Crater

Depart the lodge with picnic lunch boxes for a half-day of game viewing in the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend down the steep walls of the caldera into a paradise of woodlands and lakes that provide for abundant wildlife. See gazelles, buffalo, elephants, wildebeests as well as big cats, particularly the black manned lions, leopards and hyenas. A multitude of birds including flamingos are sighted regularly. Wildly beautiful as it is, it is not surprising that Ngorongoro Crater has been called a Garden of Eden. Dinner and your overnight stay are at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge.

Day 9Ngorongoro - Amboseli National Park

Depart Ngorongoro after breakfast and drive to Arusha to collect picnic lunch boxes. Proceed to Nairobi via Namanga border post. Then proceed to Amboseli National Park, famous for its spectacular view of the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro (if the weather permits). Arrive at Zebra Plains Camp / similar in the late afternoon. Dwarfed by the majestic snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli Kibo Safari Camp draws on a subtle Maasai cultural motif, featuring natural woodcarvings, traditional artefacts and a glowing selection of local art. At 4:00 pm enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in the park. Dinner and your overnight stay are at the camp.

Day 10Amboseli National Park

Have a full day in Amboseli with game drives at 6:30 pm and 4:00 pm respectively. Amboseli National Park, at the
foot of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, is one of Kenya’s most popular national parks. It lies 150 miles southeast of Nairobi, very close to the Tanzania border. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rises above the clouds dominating every aspect of Amboseli. All meals and your overnight stay are at Amboseli Zebra Plains camp.

Day 11Amboseli Nairobi Zanzibar

Depart the Amboseli after breakfast and drive back to Nairobi arriving early in the afternoon. Have lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, justifiably referred to as Africa’s greatest eating experience. Having twice been voted amongst the World’s 50 Best Restaurants by a UK-based restaurant magazine. You’ll be dropped off at the airport for your onward flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, you’ll be met at the Zanzibar International Airport by our representative and be transferred, to your beach resort.

Day 12Zanzibar

Spend the full day at leisure on the beach with optional activities at an extra cost. Have your overnight stay at the beach resort, booked on half board meal plan. Your overnight stay is at the resort. The optional activities for water sports can be booked directly.

Day 13Zanzibar

After breakfast, transfer to Stone Town to explore the cobble maze of this UNESCO World Heritage Site on a complimentary city tour. Enjoy the colourful island town of Zanzibar with its blend of ancient and modern buildings on the Indian Ocean. A comprehensive tour of the islands includes the Arab Old Town, with its maze of narrow twisting alleys displaying the beautiful carved doors and Arab verandas, a bazaar with curio and antique shops. Then get back to the resort.

Day 14Zanzibar

Spend the full day at leisure on the beach with optional activities at an extra cost. Your overnight stay is at the Nungwi Resort, booked on a half-board meal plan. The resort activities for water sports can be booked directly and the resort. Other optional activities can be booked directly as well.

Day 15Zanzibar Nairobi

You’ll be picked up from the resort and transferred to Zanzibar International Airport for your flight to Nairobi. You’ll be met on arrival and assisted to connect to your international flight back home.
