You will be met at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport by your driver/guide and be briefed by the Seven By Far Tours before departing Nairobi. You will cross the border and drive into Tanzania with a stop for regular custom formalities at the Namanga border town where you will change vehicles. You will then travel to Arusha for lunch and then proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. Manyara is a Maasai word for a plant used by the locals to make stockades for their livestock. Lake Manyara National Park is situated between the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and Lake Manyara. The park is famous for the tree-climbing lion, occasionally seen among the high branches of the acacia trees. You will travel to the Lodge where you will check-in, have dinner and settle in for your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will check-out and drive southward to the Serengeti National Park. You will enjoy a game drive as you travel to the camp Upon arrival you will check-in and then have lunch. After lunch you can have some time to relax and freshen up before you embark on an evening game drive in the Serengeti. The name Serengeti is derived from the Masai word meaning, “wide open space”. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will spend the entire day in the park. The great plains of Serengeti are where endless streams of wildebeest and zebra pour south towards Ngorongoro or north towards the Maasai Mara. Today’s game drives will include a wide variety of wildlife and ecosystems found in the Serengeti. An optional hot air balloon safari available at an extra cost and is highly recommended to get an eagle-eye view of the magnificent wilderness and wildlife of Serengeti. Your safari ends with champagne under a lone acacia tree surrounded by vast savannah grasslands and then dinner and a good night’s rest at the camp.
You will rise early for a sunrise game drive and then return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast you will check-out and begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will make a stop at the Olduvai Gorge and then continue your drive to the Ngorongoro Hhando Lodge. Upon arrival you will check-in and have lunch. Later in the evening you will have dinner and settle in for the night.
After breakfast you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for a once in a lifetime game drive. After your crater tour you will drive to Arusha to collect your picnic lunch boxes and continue your journey back to Nairobi; enjoying your picnic lunch along the way. You will stop at the Namanga border where you will take care of customs and then continue on to Nairobi; arriving in the early evening. You will be dropped-off at your Nairobi hotel or airport. This is where your safari will end.
