Day 1

Arrival at Addis Ababa

Welcome to Ethiopia! Arrive at Addis Abeba bole international airport. Here you will be greeted by your tour guide or driver from Seven By Far Ethiopia Tours. Then you will be transferred to hotel. If your arrival is early morning, after a leisurely morning rest and relax you will spend the afternoon on a site seeing of Addis Abeba. Established by Emperor Menelik II 1887 Addis Abeba or ‘New flower’ in Amharic, is relatively young city full of contrasts. This city tour includes, The National Museum which houses the country’s historic treasures & the famous ‘Lucy”, The Holy Trinity Orthodox Church Ethiopian main cathedral and home to the remains of the last emperor: Drive up to Mount Entoto to have a panoramic view of the city and end the tour with Merkato, one of the largest open air markets in Africa.

Day 2

Addis Ababa – Jinka

Morning after breakfast take air transfer to Jinka, up on arrival you can visit the South Omo Museum &Research Center to learn more about the local tribes. Alternatively, take a hike in the surrounding hills to visit a local Ari village. Overnight Eco Omo Lodge or Jinka resort or similar.

Day 3

Jinka to Mursi to Dimeka To Turmi

Drive through Mago National park to visit Mursi tribal village. The tribe is renowned for the now-
uncommon custom of their women, upon reaching maturity, having their lower lips slit and circular clay discs inserted.Return back to Jinka for lunch and in the afternoon proceed driving to Turmi en routevisit, Tuesdays and Saturdays are market days in Dimeka, which is one of the most colorful markets in the area and is visited by many tribes, including Hamer, Benna and Karo. Overnight Emerald lodge.

Day 5

Turmi to Omorate to Turmi

In the morning, take a day trip to Omorate to visit the Dassenech tribe with a wooden boat crossing the Omo River and enter a Dassenech village. Afterwards, return to Turmi (Monday is market day) to admir the Hamer people & see a village and their way of life. If there is jumping of the Bulls traditional Hamer coming-of-age ceremony that will be visited. Overnight Emerald Lodge.

Day 6

Turmi to arbore to Turmi

An other early morning set off proceed further into the scenic Weito lowlands, we will be visiting an
Arbore tribal village located at the northern edge of Mount Buska. The Arbore women are absolutely
stunning, they have extremely dark skin and strong features. Prior to marriage the women have their
heads shaved. They wear dark robes, colorful beads and their huts are fabricated from tree branches.Return back to turmi.

Day 7

Turmi-Arbaminch

After breakfast depart from Turmi to Konso via Key Afar. Thursday is market day in Key Afar, where you will visit one of biggest banna villages. After the visit, proceed to Konso (market days are Mondays and
Thursdays). The Konso people are known for their wooden statues, known as wakas, which are erected in honor of dead heroes as well as their innovative agricultural terracing. Today you will have a brief opportunity to visit a local village and the cultural museum displaying many waka statues. After the visit, proceed driving to Arba Minch Overnight at Emerald resort.

Day 8

Arbaminch(Explore Nech, cLake chamo & Dorze Tribe )

Full day in Arbaminch and visit attractions in and around this town. In the morning embark on a boat trip on Lake Chamo, a lake that supports a large population of crocodiles, hippos and fish. First you will cross the lake and head to Return to the boat trip & visit the famous Crocodile Marketwhich is not a market but a place to see large concentration of giant Nile Crocodiles and many hippos. The lake is about 32 kms long and provides a lush wetland habitat for many of flora and fauna. In the afternoon visit the Dorzetribe who lives on the Guge Mountain. The Dorze are renowned for their cotton-weaving techniques and beehive shaped houses constructed entirely from organic materials. Here in their village you can see the unique beehive huts, observe their exceptional cotton weaving skills and learn about their life and traditions.

Day 9

Arbaminch to Addis Ababa

Morning ascend into the Gughe Mountains to visit the Dorze people, who are known for their tall
beehive-like houses and their fine cotton weaving. Visit market in Dorze (Market days in Dorze village are Mondays and Thursdays and in Chencha on Tuesdays and Saturdays). Then transfers to the airport fly back to Addis Ababa and visit Mercato, one of Africa’s largest outdoor markets and enjoy shopping in the city. Evening we will have fare well dinner in one of the Ethiopian restaurant for cultural dances from the different ethnic groups. Overnight Nexus hotel.
